Mission Statement

The CCCPE is a professional organization of community college faculty, staff, and administrators in the disciplines of Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Science and related fields.  The organization seeks to provide professional development opportunities, advocates for student opportunities in these disciplines, and recommend policies and best practices for teaching and learning.

The mission of the California Community College Physical Educators (or CCCPE) is to support student learning and success by ensuring California Community College Physical Educators have:

  • Access to information on current issues and curriculum in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Health and Dance.
  • An avenue for collaboration, unity and discussion on issues related to Kinesiology, Physical Education, Health and Dance.
  • A voice at legislative and statewide governance meetings related to Kinesiology, Physical Education, Health and Dance.
  • An inclusive organization that values the opinions of all members.
